let the drama begin
Prancing Fawn - Scout - 63 moons Mother to Piranha Bite and his two siblings, she was a quiet Scout, who was friendly to those of the kingdom. She has a sweet personality. Her only major character flaw was that she fell in love with the wrong tom. Swooned by an outsider, she was ridden with secrets and a pregnancy. She is still really hurt after getting abandoned by her kit's father and has a very uneasy relationship with the kingdom and Piranha Bite. Relationships with the two siblings is open. Personality and appearance can be changed, as well as name.
Grouper Fin - Knight - 28 moons Brother to Piranha Bite and Jumping Dolphin, I can imagine him being more solitary and quiet. I can imagine him being a mama's boy, and constantly defending her. Piranha Bite won't like him very much since he loathes his mother for their father's abandonment. Relationship with sister is open to whatever, as well as position, name (keep it sea-like, it was suppose to be a memorial for their father), and appearance.
Jumping Dolphin - Scout - 28 moons Sister to Piranha Bite and Grouper Fin, I can see her being more outgoing. Super friendly, tries to one-up her brothers' accomplishments. I can see her trying to cause mischief amongst the kingdom. Piranha Bite is civil towards her. Relationship with brother can be whatever you'd like, along with position, appearance, and name (just keep it sea-themed).
Leopard Gaze - Knight - 20-40 moons BFF's with Piranha Bite, she is his only friend and the only female he isn't trying to get with. Her personality will be strong. She doesn't care what others think, very independent, thick-headed, and always ready to defends those she thinks deserves it. Age, name, appearance are really whatever you're feeling.

Solarflare - Fighter - 40ish moons This tom will see things pretty similar to Cactusbloom's ideals; that Tidalclan is superior to all and that Cactusbloom should've been the next deputy. He shares her thirst for power. Will he take her as his queen? Will he stab her in the back and try to take power for himself? IDK. His personality should be as wild, and kinda psychotic, as Cactusbloom's. I'm kinda digging the appearance and name, but if you have ideas, don't be shy. Rest is up to you.
Bluefin - Fighter - 26 moons One of Cactusbloom's followers, she worships the ground Cactusbloom walks on. She thinks she is all powerful and praises her constantly. I can see her having a flighty personality, blunt and kinda rude to others. Name, personality, and appearance can be changed.
Gorgetalon - Fighter - 50 moons Grunt of the Cactusbloom cult following, I kind of want a mute character. This can either be a birth defect, infection/injury, or just because he has nothing to say. Or he can just be a man of few words if that's easier to roleplay LOL. He basically carries out any tasks Cactusbloom wants/needs and isn't afraid of punishment. Kinda like the name, appearance and personality is mostly up to you.
Description sentence: A handsome bengal tom, with bright blue eyes. .
Appearance: Piranha Bite takes great pride in his appearance. His coat certainly stands out next to his peers, but with it, comes a certain unique beauty. His fur is a mixture of honeys, light and dark browns, and hints of black spotting and stripes. Piranha Bite has a slimmer stature, but holds himself with such pride, you'd think he was the size of a lion. Due to the differences in his genetics, he is slightly at a disadvantage in the mountains. He also is mocked amongst the kingdom. While some view his differences in a positive way, others see him as an abomination. This mockery has caused the tom to train extra hard, in case anyone ever tried to take their claws out on him instead of their words. Because of this, although lean, this tom has a very muscular build underneath his pelt.
Staring back at you with bright blue eyes, this feline knows how to charm and use his looks to his advantage. Always keeping up with his grooming and eating sometimes more than his fair share, he knows if he bats his eyes just right, he'd at least have the she-cats eating out of his paws.
Personality: Piranha Bite's presence consumes the mountain with one flick of his tail. Although a tad over-the-top at times, Piranha Bite loves attention. His ego is bigger than that of Starclan, the island god's sky home, and the island combined. His favorite pass time would be flirting with his fellow kingdom-mates, breaking hearts as he goes. He has little regard for them, seeing most she-cats as play things. He's most certainly gotten a name for himself; a playboy amongst the knights. From his quick tongue and lack of a filter, he mainly sticks to himself when he isn't trying to score an evening with a she-cat. Piranha Bite secretly hates that he doesn't have a lot of friends, but few can tolerate long periods of time with his constant cockiness and obnoxiousness.
Past his abrasive side, Piranha Bite is a fast learner, and is smarter than he likes to lead on. Knowing he would be sorted as a knight at an early age, due to his appearance, he's trained long and hard how to adapt to the mountain-living. Having to work twice as diligently to keep himself warm and in shape, Piranha Bite's determination and strong will keeps him motivated and constantly on the go. Despite being looked down upon by most of the elders amongst the kingdom from his birth, he has earned quite a bit of admiration from the knights and royalty.
Family: Prancing Fawn - Mother - Adoptable Unknown Father (loner or clan cat) - Adoptable Grouper Fin - Brother - Adoptable Jumping Dolphin - Sister - Adoptable
History: Piranha Bite's mother was the ideal kingdom servant. A scout who kept her head low, had undoubtably trust in her Crown Ruler, and worked hard to do her part. But once she met who'd she take as a mate, she had to keep that secret from her beloved kingdom. As her belly swole with life, the kingdom began to murmur serious rumors of betrayal and treason. She had not taken a mate within their ranks, so how could she be pregnant? Once she was ready to give birth, most turned their backs to her. Scouts, who were once her friends, acted as if she wasn't even there. Hardly able to walk around camp, Prancing Fawn disappeared suddenly. The Shaman pleaded for Scouts and Knights alike to search the mountainside, terrified that she may have been hurt or that the smell of a fresh litter would attract predators.
Eventually, they found her hidden in an old den in the mountain's many caverns. Prancing Fawn's breathing was haggard, but it wasn't all from the contractions. She had been deserted from her mate, left alone to give birth and raise her kits. But before she could make it back to the kingdom after running away, she was forced to hide in the cave due to being so close to giving birth. After a long and cold labor, Prancing Fawn gave birth to three healthy kittens. Carefully taken back to the camp, her acceptance was hard, especially with her plans to run away. The identity of the father was never told, but seeing as how some of the kits had odd appearances, it was obvious that she had relations outside the kingdom. Piranha Bite took this secrecy very hard. He looked around at all the younger felines bonding with their fathers and resented his mother for turning his father away. He was an angry adolescent, and distanced himself from his family.
After raising her kits till they were old enough to be tasked as young apprentices, Piranha Bite knew he'd be sorted and trained to be a knight. It was tough having such a different appearance from those within the kingdom, and even the eyes of the crown felt like they were following his every move. He never felt like he'd every quite fit in. Piranha Bite initially struggled in training. He was smaller than the other young trainees, and often got tired due to the harsh conditions. But one day, something strange happened. He made a friend.
Leopard Gaze was a beautiful she-cat who showed Piranha Bite kindness when no one else would. Completely platonic, the two become close friends, and he thought of her as more of a family than he ever did of his real kin. Together, he was soon knighted and protecting his kingdom regardless of the side glances or whispers that follow him.

Cactusbloom woke up agitated. Why? Because it was just another morning, serving a useless chief and an even more ignorant deputy. She extended her claws and dug them into the moss of her bedding. Once she was chief, everything would be different. There would be some control. There would be fear of failure instilled into the clanmembers. Huffing restlessly, the she-cat decided to shake off the remaining moss and exit the warrior's den. She glanced back at her bedding, smirking that some poor fledgling would have to remake it today after the sleepless night she had rolling around.[break][break]
Sighing, the she cat blinked her eyes at the bright sunlight streaking through the trees. The camp seemed quieter. But that was to no surprised. Although not as much as Jungleclan, some of Tidalclan's numbers had dropped since their journey to the tribe's island. A sense of sadness swept the clan. Cactusbloom shook the feeling off, sighing rather loudly while continuing towards the jungle. Since the dawn patrol had not left yet, she decided it would be a good time to do her own little sweep of the territory. Her amber eyes scanned the camp, only a few warriors were up already, lounging and chatting before the deputy sent patrols.[break][break]
The she-cat smirked, she didn't need to be told to uphold her duties to the clan; she'd do it all by herself. [break][break]
The long-haired she-cat weaved through the trees, careful not to make too much noise. Though early in the morning, the jungle already teemed with life. Birds of all kinds squawked and flapped above her. The trees hid a lot of the sunlight, so nearing the shore, filled Cactusbloom with dread. Her thick, dark fur attracted the sunlight, making her pant abnormally hard, especially this time of year. Treading through the sand, her paws sank effortlessly in the hot, soft, earth. She breathed in, opening her mouth slightly to scent the air. The saltiness of the ocean relaxed the she-cat, until she caught wind of a fresh unfamiliar cat. [break][break]
Hair standing on end, she crept closer to the border. The scent grew stronger until she heard a warning from the other side. This foolish tom was telling HER to move on? Oh no, Cactusbloom was never told what to do. She glared at the tom, barring her fangs, "Jungleclan clearly doesn't teach you manners during your training, do they? I know where our borders stand. My paws touched them before yours, and will defend them after yours." Amber eyes blazing, she added, "That's too bad though, I woke up rather agitated. Why would the Gods send you to me I wonder?" Her voice was rather venomous. She had no reason to be rude to the tom, but something was jabbing her side this morning. "Still reek of death I see." The she-cat hissed. "How is Ivystar? Still kicking after begging for the savages to save her?" Cactusbloom had no interest in his answer, rather just wanted to assert her dominance over the male.

Iguanagaze felt a shift in the tension. While Shoalclaw was a rather rude and blunt senior warrior, the tom had a reputation to keep for his mate, and being an argumentative prick wouldn't shine the best of light towards her. He opened his mouth to try to come up with something to do to wait out the heat, when rustling of leaves made his fur stand on end. His ears twitched, annoyance spreading across his face. Cinnamonstep, while adorable, startled like a kit leaving the nursery for the first time. Iguanagaze chuckled in his thoughts, praying to Starclan to protect this pure she-cat.
Luckily for him, Shoalclaw turned his insults to the trees. Squinting, Iguanagaze then saw was what making a ruckus. Though white was a color that made the sunlight more bearable, its striking contrast with the dark green leaves left the she-cat standing out, even in the dense branches. Internally, Iguanagaze moaned. Not only was Shoalclaw amongst the hunting party, now Cranefeather was getting involved. Chewing the inside of his mouth, the tom argued with himself; get involved or get out. From his interaction from Shoalclaw, he was in kind of a bitter mood. He didn't want to agitate the she-cat, but it seemed that she was far past that already.
"Odd, Cranefeather, I'd have to agree with Shoalclaw" he purred, sitting on his hunches and giving his shoulder a quick lick, "I don't remember seeing you on this morning patrols either. Taking the day off?" The tom sighed, "if only I had the time off, maybe I too could be working on nest weaving up there with the cockatoos."

The air was finally cooling down on the island, making it bearable for maneuvering through the thick jungle. Iguanagaze sighed heavily, it had already been a long day. He had went on a dawn patrol, had taught a certain unlucky apprentice why they shouldn't face off with a beached sea urchin, and was a little cranky from his poor night's sleep from the night before. The tom felt on edge for whatever reason, making him feel uneasy and like he needed to be alone.
He padded silently through the forest. His claws sinking readily into the moist ground, propelling him even deeper into the sun-streaked trees. But as he stalked through the brush, he caught scent of a familiar she-cat. Iguanagaze could feel the contents of his stomach shift. For Starclan's sake, of all cats," he thought to himself, a ping of guilt filling his chest. The tom had no right to feel anything bad towards the she-cat. After all, he was the one who used her for his own gain. He was the bad guy.
"I'll just turn back towards camp," he thought, deciding to leave rather than to struggle to come up with anything to say to the she-cat without it coming off wrong. He knew he was downwind from her, so escape would be easy as long as he didn't alert her of his presence. As the silver tom turned, his paw landed right on a fallen branch. It cracked loudly, making the singing crickets near him fall silent. Iguanagaze stood there for a moment, eyes raised towards the tree tops. "How," he wondered, "could I be so stupid." Clearly ruining any chance of escape for himself, Iguanagae trudged forward, eventually landing eyes on a particular calico she-cat.
The sight of her caused Iguanagaze to stop in his tracks. The air around him felt heavier and stickier. Cinderfang was the one she-cat who could still get a rise out of Iguanagaze. And even looking at her now, something in Iquanagaze stirred. While he loved his mate and his children dearly, Cinderfang still held something over him. Whirls of emotion came over him; guilt, self-pity, resentment....and strangely enough, some attraction for the she-cat.
Iguanagaze blinked slowly, his eyes settling on what was in her mouth. His eyes widened slightly, "A lizard, how fitting." As if a sign from Starclan itself, it was only fate that she had caught a lizard and Iguanagaze stood there dumbfounded like the ignorant prey's brother. "Th-that was a nice catch," he stuttered, cursing to himself what a mouse-brain he sounded like. Iguanagaze didn't know why the she-cat had some kind of control over him still. A part of him felt like deep down, maybe he didn't lie about his feeling for her as much as he had liked to have led on from all those moons ago. He gulped, trying to regain composure. "Smooth, real smooth," his inner voice shamed.

Iguanagaze clenched his jaw. Shoalclaw was about as friendly as an agitated porcupine. The obvious disappointment the two had for his presence was pretty clear, but instead of letting him be bothered by it, the tom decided to make some fun out of it. "I wonder who pissed in their bedding this morning," though the tom, the annoyance jabbing him like a thorn stuck in his pelt. Deciding to ignore the fact that Shoalclaw didn't even say hello to Iguanagaze, he shifted his attention to Cinnamonstep. The sweet, little she-cat wasn't known as the most social warrior, but she was tolerable none-the-less.
"Ah, yes, what a waste to describe the apparent. But, he's right, we should try to find something to do in the meantime," Iguanagaze tried to come off as aloof, but ended up sounding annoyed. He had wished it had been someone, anyone, but the rather odd father-daughter duo. But, he had the pleasure of somehow entertaining the two on this peculiar hunting patrol.

Username: shelby Discord: shelby#5449 Length of Time on Site: since mid-September General Activity Level: I've been on pretty much every day, besides some weekends. I plan to be that active besides during finals ;-; Character Name: Piranha Bite Age in Moons: 40 moons Rank Applying For: Kingdom Crown Ruler Why Does Your Character Fit the Role?: (+) Intelligent // Piranha Bite excelled in all things studious. He has sat with the elders and shared tongues till Silverpelt raced across the sky every night. He believes, though crowned ruler, he must have a trusted group of advisers (whom he's selected as an elder of each gender and his shaman). He knows when to speak from his heart and from his mind. Living in a climate such as the mountain, he knows smart moves could be the difference between life and death. (+) Strategic // Piranha Bite knows the kingdom will follow him, through thick or thin, as long as he holds the crown. However, he isn't just in it for the pompous life style and adoration. He carefully selects who becomes the Hunters or Fighters, sometimes rumored to have some kind of special power to predict the future of each kit. His careful eye has caused the kingdom to become strong and ever growing. (-) Childish // While he takes his position very seriously, he has a laid back personality and enjoys all things fun. He is constantly cracking jokes and brushing off things that he deems "unimportant". The thought of finding his consort and producing heirs strikes a bit of fear in him. (-) Demanding // Piranha Bite expects the best from each of those who belong to the kingdom. If you are a Hunter and don't provide enough for the kingdom or are constantly slacking in their duties, he will scold them immediately. If those among the battle-ready do not properly train and become lazy, he will assign additional patrols and skill trainings to them. He is also a bit of a clean-freak, so organization and cleanliness within the kingdom is always expected. Roleplay Sample: The mouth of the cave Kingdom of Mokuhau called home whistled as the chilled breeze coursed through the rocky interior. Piranha Bite padded towards the opening, ears twitching but unfazed from the constant howling. He chuckled to himself, while 40 moons felt like it was a lifetime ago, he remembered yowling into the cave to hear the echoes as a youngster like it was yesterday. The large tom shook out his fur, bracing himself for the change in temperature as he leaped out of the cave to the adjacent rocks.
He landed with a soft thud and sat back on his hunches. The tom, while broad with muscle, shivered a bit in the morning wind. He blended effortlessly on the mountaintop; pelt gleaming a snowy white. The only thing that separated him from the snow caps were his yellowish-green eyes. Piranha Bite squinted at the sky, a shrill call of a hawk broke the silence of the morning. Piranha Bite knew his kingdom would rise with the sun settling in the sky, but he soaked in this last moment alone. Today, he thought, was the beginning of the rest of my new life.
Piranha Bite loved his kingdom. While he enjoyed the crown ruler life, something about the pureness of the morning before the sun fully broke across the sky, filled him with such joy he couldn't give up this daily ritual. Since the passing of his father, Palm Sway, the tom had only a few days between when he was officially crowned and his father's sudden death. And with the crown came responsibility. The tom gulped at the thought. Will I be able to do it? He thought, tail flicking nervously behind him. But he wasn't thinking of the kingdom, he was mostly concerned about picking his consort and producing his heirs.
The tom, handsome and confident, had been absolutely sick about settling down. He would become a father. Piranha Bite didn't think he had it in him. He felt like he was a kit still himself. The tom knew the day would come when his father could no longer provide for his kingdom as ruler, but everything just happened so fast. He hadn't prepared himself well enough.
"Piranha Bite?" A small, feminine voice called behind him. Startled, the tom jumped to his paws and whipped around. His eyes, widened from the sudden interruption, looked toward the mouth of the cave, finding a tiny bundle of cream fur. "You know the elders are looking for you right?" Turtle Shell purred, a smile forming on her lips. Piranha Bite's blood ran cold. Of course they are, only those old crows would be up this early on selection day, he grumbled. Sighing, he crouched down on all fours and sprang towards the cavern entrance.
He padded over to the she-cat, and chuckled, "Guess I wasn't very good at hiding, huh?" He placed a paw on her forehead and let out a low purr. Piranha Bite sighed, pointing his nose towards the inside of the cave. "I guess I'll stop acting like a snow hare and get back to business," his voice was low, butterflies filling his stomach. Turtle Shell grinned a toothy smile and padded next to him as the pair dove into the dim lit cave. Piranha Bite snuck a glance at the little she-cat, whom he'd come to appreciate as the elder's little bird. Too naive to realize the elders were taking advantage of her sweet nature, she had become the messenger, and apparently, the keeper of the ruler.
"So when can we expect new kits, Piranha Bite?" The she-cat's question made Piranha Bite come to a halt. Brow raised, the tom shook his head, "Not you too Turtle Shell. I didn't know the elder's finally obtained the ability to brainwash you." But before the she-cat could answer, a hush fell over the two. The elders and his siblings all sat in the center of the cavern, all eyes landing on their new crowned king. Piranha Bite gulped, knowing this was it.

A lot of the kingdom believes his mother and siblings should have been exiled due to his mother's betrayal. Due to only being half-kingdom blood, with a matching strange appearance, some stray away from this tom due to hateful feelings. On the other hand, his personality doesn't earn him a lot of friends. Toms hate him either because of his strength, arrogance, or the fact that he pulls more she-cats than a cat in heat. She-cats hate him most likely because he hooked up with them or someone they're related to, and stopped talking to them once he had his fun. Either way, this is probably his most popular category. Description sentence: A brown, tabby she-cat, with spots of orange and white throughout her pelt and amber eyes.
Appearance: Cactusbloom is a gorgeous tabby, with a mixture of stripes and splotches of white and orange. Her main coloring on her pelt is a red wood brown with darker, almost-black striping. She has a white underbelly, muzzle, and paws. The touches of orange and white began to coat her pelt once she got to about 12 moons old. Her fur is thick and long, which during the dry seasons makes for an unbearable heat blanket, and during the wet seasons, stayed incredibly damp most of the time. The she-cat, while smaller due to gender and genetics, is a very muscular feline. She takes pride in power, so whenever she gets the chance, she's either training or hunting rather dangerous prey to stay in the best shape. All over her body, she has patches of fur that is missing due to scar tissue. Her glowing amber eyes are often haunting due to their eerie bright color and her darker pelt.
Personality: Cactusbloom, as a kit, was a gentle and wide-eyed, curious soul. She loved adventure, playing with her brother, exploring the camp, and snuggling her mother. But as she was taken under Tigerscream's care, everything soon changed. He made everything a competition between her brother and Cactusbloom; and if she won, she won affection, if she lost, she was denied attention. This kind of mental abuse at such a young age caused Cactusbloom to earn her competitive nature. It also made Cactusbloom mean. She was constantly accused of being "overly aggressive", constantly would talk back, and had no filter on her mouth.
Being blunt and aggressive made the she-cat very isolated by her peers and elders. Not that she wanted friends, but she did have the dream to become next chief. Hard working and determined, the she-cat spent hours of the day, often practicing by the lightning bug and moonlight, to get stronger. All she wanted was to become chief. She threw away making a family of her own, immediately begged for fledglings, and was always first to volunteer for patrols. She loves her clan, and wants it to be the best, and only, clan of the island.
Although an important asset in the clan's defenses, her behavior towards others is unacceptable. Unruly, violent, and vile, she doesn't take being told no kindly. As proven by her ex-fledgling, she acts with tooth and claw more than words and strikes others down without just cause. She's irritable and has a distaste for Tinystar and her rule.
Skills & Combat
Strengths: • Close combat • Strategy • Manipulation
Weaknesses: • Hunting • Swimming • Overconfidence in skills
The union of Hibiscusrain and Tigerscream was a bit of a surprise amongst Tidalclan. Their polar opposite natures made them an unlikely pair, but never-the-less, when Hibiscusrain found out that she'd be having kits, the clan was ecstatic to welcome new additions. Cactuskit, while small and wiggly, put up a lot of fight immediately in the nursery. Using her sharp teeth whenever anything came near her, her mother quickly named her after the sharp spines of the cactus. But soon after Vinekit and Cactuskit were born, the apparent differences in the kits' parents grew. Very religious fighters, they grew to strongly uphold the chief's decree and worship the god's that looked after the island. Anyone who was against the god's, or even slightly doubted their will, was deemed an enemy.
What differed so much between the two was how they withheld, and acted upon, their ideals. Hibiscusrain was a strong, level-headed fighter. She believed that, while everyone had a voice, there must be justice to wrong doers. She was often quiet, and listened more than talked back. She valued each day as a blessing from the gods. She was a kind and steady mentor to those around her. The she-cat's mate on the other hand, was quite the opposite. Tigerscream was a force not to be reckoned with. A brut tom, he was known as one of the top fighters in the clan, taking out his enemies with shear strength. He often used his claws and teeth first, and asked questions later. He was also one to cause commotion at borders and meetings alike. He preached that Tidalclan was the strongest clan, and that the gods favored them.
As the kits became a few moons old, they started developing a close connection with one another. Cactuskit loved her brother. She adored his cool demeanor and wanted to constantly sneak out with him to cause mischief. But as they grew, their parents had different ideas on how to raise them and quickly separated the two. Cactuskit was mentored and raised by her father, and Vinekit with his father. Tigerscream slowly started to instill ideas into Cactuskit's mind, causing her to have a shift in her personality. A once playful and sweet kit, the she-cat soon became overly competitive with everyone, including her own brother. She, too, believed in Tigerscream's ideals, snubbing Jungleclan as the lesser clan and listening to his false stories of how Jungleclan gave up their beliefs and became weaker because the gods were angry with them. As they approached apprenticeship, Cactuskit already knew she'd grow to be the stronger fighter, and later, the most powerful chief.
Apprenticeship
As Vinekit and Cactuskit were giving their new names as apprentices, Cactuspaw feverishly became obsessed with training and becoming more powerful. Slightly smaller than her male peers, the she-cat learned how to manipulate their weight and size quickly. She loved learning battle techniques, so much, that even after a long day of training, she went on to train under her father's guidance. Tigerscream praised his daughter constantly, fueling her aggression and taste for power. Her brother, while close as kits, slowly became distant from her as the moons passed. His mother taught him strong will, but in a more reserved and level-minded way. Their differences caused a shift in their friendship, and with Cactuspaw's competitive nature, pushed him away.
Cactuspaw, although skilled in battle, was not an asset when it came to hunting. She became bored with tracking prey and staying quiet, which earned her nothing but ridicule from her mentor. She was nowhere near quiet, and often struck too early, scaring the prey away.
Time and time again, she was scolded for her poor hunting abilities. She argued that a good fighter was just as valuable, if not more, than a hunter, but she was dismissed. As her 12th moon approached, she began to worry that she wouldn't become a fighter because of this. Since Cactuspaw already honed down on battle techniques, she begged her father to teach her how to make hunting more fun. Tigerscream, much to his pleasure, taught Cactuspaw an unspeakable skill; hunting for sport. Together, the father and daughter pair tackled dangerous prey. Scorpions, large, violent boars, eels, anything to get a fight out of the prey. Tigerscream's personality spread to Cactuspaw the more they bonded. She became short-tempered, not truly knowing her place and often talking back. She was a little too aggressive with her clanmates and wasn't attempting to make friends while in training. When Cactuspaw finally reached her 12th moon within Tidalclan, she was still a little sloppy hunting prey for the clan. But, no surprise to her, still made it to her ceremony and was bestowed her fighter name.
Becoming a Fighter
Named Cactusbloom, she was given the suffix bloom as a nod to her beautiful fur, which earned orange and white spots as she aged on top of her tabby pelt, but also towards her growth as a fighter. Headstrong and fiercely loyal to Tidalclan, Cactusbloom was an asset to Tidalclan's forces. While still a below average hunter, her perseverance and strength impressed her elder fighters. Even though her training was over, Tigerscream and Cactusbloom still enjoyed their dangerous hunts together. And when they weren't hunting, they'd patrol or explore the territory together, passing tongues about their goals for Tidalclan.
Shortly after becoming a fighter, she was given Baypaw as her fledgling to train. She greedily accepted, knowing she could train a fledgling better than any of the other fighters. She'd prove her worth to the elder fighters. Cactusbloom worked with the tom, often sending him to the healer's den for minor cuts and bruising. She show him strength, to want to become the strongest of his pledge class. But her training methods slowly started to turn heads, whispering of the violent and harsh treatment towards her fledgling. Eventually, the apprentice spoke with the chief and was put under Tinystar's wing. This angered Cactusbloom, making her resent her chief and Baypaw for his weakness.
Never discourgaged, Cactusbloom slowly became more obsessed with the thought of making Tidalclan stronger. How she could accomplish it. How she'd become deputy, then chief. How'd she'd set aside the idea of love and becoming a mother to obtain power, faster. And she didn't just stop at that; as she interacted with Jungleclan at the border or at the meetings, she did not hide her distaste for their kind. Tidalclan, she believed, should be the one true clan of the island. The she-cat even believed they could run the twolegs off their island if they sacrificed enough to the gods. Tigerscream told Cactusbloom of the large tiger that once roamed the forest, striking fear into those around it. That she embodied the spirit of that tiger and was destined for greatness.
Cactusbloom enjoyed mulling over this idea, letting it build the fire that grew in her belly. Power was what she wanted, and power was what she'd get.

Deep within the Toucan forest, sat a rather restless, yet exhausted, tom. Iguanagaze was unbearably hot, even with the shade from the trees protecting him from the direct sunlight. The heat made him tired, but his rumbling belly made him fight the urge to slink off into the warrior's den. His muscles twitched underneath his silver-grey pelt. The tom was hidden, taking sanctuary on a low branch. From here, he had a pretty good view of the jungle floor beneath him.
His green gaze watched, but nothing was in sight. The only disturbance in the jungle was the loud screeching of the various insects, and the rather noisy monkeys in the trees nearby. The tom's ears flicked, trying to pick up anything. Right on cue, he heard the slight rustle beneath him, not too far away. He opened his jaw, taking in the hot, sticky air of the muggy jungle. Downwind from the creature, a familiar scent crossed his senses. Iguanagaze squinting his eyes, trying to pick up on the fellow warrior. "Must be out hunting as well," he thought, stretching his muscles before leaping down from his hiding spot. "The prey should be coming out of hiding soon enough," he thought, absentmindedly. He nosed his way through the thick vines and brush till Shoalclaw was in sight.
"Evening Shoalclaw," he greeted the tom. He sat back on his hunches, sighing. "How long have you been out?" He asked, cocking his head to the side. "The prey seem to be hiding from the heat still. I've been about as useless as a dung-brained monkey out here." Iguanagaze flicked his ears again. The tom made sure his voice, while audible, was still quiet enough to not alert any nearby prey of their presence.
