Commander's Nest

High above the rest of the clan, in a fork in the swooping branches of one of the oldest trees on the island, rests the nest of the commander. Perched in such a way to keep an eye on the other members, it is protected from both wind and flood, but accessible by most in the Tribe should they be willing to climb.

Witch's Nest

Nestled in the roots of one of the many trees in camp, sheltered by these and large palm leaves interwoven into the barrier, is the nest of the witch. This caretaker of the entire clan, with their herbs tucked away in small hollows and spare nests available to any cats who may fall ill during the seasons, can be found here for treatment and advice.

Navigator's/Swabbie's Nests

A shared area for those teaching and those learning the ways of the Tribe, these nests are found spread along the edges of camp under shrubs and roots and sheltered by leaves and vines that have been interwoven into the overarching branches. The quartermaster, second in command of the Tribe, will often nest closest to the entrance of camp in order to better defend it from any danger.

Nursery/Guide's Nests
NO THREADS HAVE MADE IN THIS BOARD.
Perhaps the most varied of spaces is that shared by caretakers, tenderfoots, and guides. Housing the youngest among them, as well as the oldest in the Tribe, is the large, hollow log of a tree that fell long ago. There is plenty of room along its length for each cat, and easily defensible at either end.

Situated on a small inlet detached from the main island in their territory, this is where the tribe cats have made their home for several hundred moons. A barrier of thick roots protect the members from high tide and provide natural traps for prey on the side facing the ocean, and the streams running around their island are shallow enough to wade through. A break in this barrier on the north side of camp serves as the only entrance into their sanctuary that does not require one to swim to reach it. Should any of the surrounding water rise too high due to a storm, the Tribe will retreat to the treetops above until the danger has passed.
