The sweltering heat was pounding onto Hurricaneheart’s long tabby fur, and for a moment, they cursed the Gods for this fur. Although it was gorgeous, it was a pain to groom and almost always some level of messy. Yet while it had some positives, it made them suffocatingly hot in the summer. They had found refuge under one of the roofs of the houses, though they preferred not to go inside, for they didn’t want to seem lazy, although they supposed sitting and panting in place didn’t really help their case.

As they were sitting there, sweating their tail off, they glanced around at the village calmly, and started to feel a bit guilty for their break under the house, as they could see others busying in or out of the camp. For a moment, they steadied onto their paws, stepping back into the sunlight, before swaying slightly and deciding they still needed a longer break. They cursed at themselves silently, sighing in disappointment.

They just wished it were a bit cooler, just a minute amount, and glanced up at the sky again. No clouds were in sight, and they sighed for a second time. Perhaps they should just try and interact with some of their clanmates, but what if they were busy? It sure seemed like they all were. They shook their head and they would lie down, crossing their paws neatly and resting their head on the paws. They would just wait for someone else to approach them. Yes, that made sense, you could not disturb someone else or be seen as rude if they started the conversation, right?
