Personality
Please list at least three positive and three negative traits for your character below.
Positive Traits: • Loyal • Optimistic • Focused | Negative Traits: • Easily Agitated • Little Patience • Poor conflict management |
Personality:
Loyalty is at the very root of Hurricaneheart’s personality. They will oftentimes find themselves musing if what they are doing is the right thing for TidalClan. If they decide it is not, they will most likely rethink their choice, but may pick a better strategy to go through with their decision. They are an optimistic cat, this is because they like to stay in good thoughts. Because of this, they are often a good companion to reach out and talk to, as they will listen and give you hopeful, but not necessarily untrue, advice, which could be just the thing you’d like to hear when you are gloomy. Despite their optimism and loyalty, they can be quite an easily agitated cat. If they are having a bad day, they may snap quite easily, though they choose their fights sparingly. They do have quite pier conflict management, which means when they are angry, they aren’t more likely to say something they don’t mean or act rashly. This has caused him quite a few issues in the past and it will most likely continue in the future. Next, they have quite a focused nature, when doing a task, they may even become so hyper-focused that they don’t notice their other surroundings, this is not always a good thing for him. Because they are such a focused individual, and like to get things done as quickly as possible, they may find themselves quite impatient, as they just want to move on to the next task and not dilly-dally for too long.

Character Background
Family:
Father: Shellscar (npc, deceased)
Mother: Cloudfeather (npc, whereabouts unknown)
History:
At a young age, tragedy struck his mother, Cloudfeather, she was extremely young when she first gave birth, and she gave birth to two stillborns and Hurricanekit. That same evening, her mate and Hurricanekit’s father, Shellscar, drowned in a freak accident, which is still quite unexplained in the present. Hurricanekit was named not only for their (then his) appearance, but by the tragedy that struck the same evening of their birth. Their mother was an extremely controlling caretaker for that moment forward, she determined who they talked to, where they went, and expected him to check-in often when out playing with the other kits. This was wore down their relationship very quickly, while they loved their mother, they liked their independence as well.
Soon, they were a fledgling, and although Cloudfeather’s grip on them was loosened, they always felt as if she was staring over their shoulders, telling them to do better, be better, act better. Mentally, this did drain them, but they tried to not let her get to them too much. They actually had a pretty laidback time as an apprentice, enjoying when he went swimming or hunting better than anything else.
Around ten moons, they found themselves questioning what gender they were born as, and, when they realized they felt more in between genders than male or female, they came to Cloudfeather about it, she told them that those were just feelings and they would go away, why throw away your chance at being normal? With their short temper, they verbally fought with her, trying to convince her of what they were, but she refused to accept this. Finally, they snapped and went too far, bringing up their deceased father, lamenting about how they were sure if their father or stillborn siblings were still alive, their mother would have them be who they were and stopped living through them. This drove their mother away, for good, and she disappeared, abandoning the clan.
This event cemented the idea in their mind of loyalty to Tidalclan, as they didn’t want to become like their mother, someone who walked away when angered. Not long after, they had their fighter ceremony, becoming Hurricaneheart, named for his optimism and of how he guarded his heart.
As they continued to grow, they would have many cats (both female and male) have passing fancies for them, and sometimes, they would flirt back, but nothing much ever came of it, because in the back of their mind, they knew they didn’t want to settle down early like their mother, for fear they would be unprepared, and they still were not even sure if they wanted kits in the first place. This brings us to present time, and who knows what the island holds for the young cat, only time will tell.
