ChinookSPLASH
jungleclan ∙ warrior ∙ male ∙ 34 moons
Appearance
Description sentence:
A large, deep ginger tom with thick fur and amber eyes.
Appearance:
Chinooksplash gained his prefix after his appearance, and that's easy to see. His pelt resembles that of the Chinook salmon, with its deep ginger coloring and darker tones along his back. With bits of white near his neck, muzzle, and ears, he stands out quite a bit among the dark greens and browns of the jungle. His frame, however, is rather large. While he might have problems with stealth due to his bright pelt, his build is large enough to help with his strength. Chinooksplash's legs are also rather long, allowing deep, powerful strides when it comes to swimming. He doesn't have a lithe body in any meaning of the word; his build is meant to stay on the ground, not up in the trees. The warrior's face is covered in long, white whiskers, surrounding his amber eyes. Short ears jut out of his head almost awkwardly, usually staying lower to his head than higher. Thick fur covers almost every inch of him, growing especially thick around his neck and on his tail.
Personality
Positive Traits: • Ambitious • Courageous • Good-natured • Hard-working • Sociable | Negative Traits: • Meddlesome • Discontented • Cautious • Impractical • Presumptuous |
Personality:
Chinooksplash was always rather curious, making him discontented with his situation a lot of the time. He's always had an urge to find out what's beyond the sea of blue he's always seen, other than the clan cats he's heard about from his parents and the elders. This always made him quite the ambitious cat, creating a determined flare inside of him, even if he knows he can never see what's past the swaths of blue around the island. He's also quite meddlesome because of this, often getting himself into situations he shouldn't have been in in the first place.
The warrior can be quite presumptuous, jumping to conclusions before there's a reasonable cause for one. Despite all of that, the tom is, at heart, good-natured. Whenever he does something, he makes sure he is doing it with good intentions. While it may come off as irritating or obsessive, he always tries to make sure things around him are going well. This often makes him very impractical in his thinking. He doesn't focus on what will work and instead focuses on what he thinks will work when it comes to solving problems.
Chinooksplash is very sociable, absolutely loving talking with others and interacting with those around him. He also tends to be hard-working, always wanting to accomplish more and more. He works hard, but when he does work, he can do things a little too cautiously. He dreads anything going wrong, making him overly meticulous about the littlest things.

Character Background
History:
Chinooksplash's family, like most JungleClan families, traces their roots back to the clan cats that had arrived on the island. While his father preferred to keep some of the original clans' traditions wherever he went, his mother adored the island lifestyle with all of her heart. The tropical diet, the intriguing weather, and the fact that it was all she had ever known kept her drawn in, not caring much for tradition. The two both had a fierce loyalty to their clan, however, which drew them to each other. Eventually, as one might expect, they had a litter of two. The oldest being Cardinalkit, named by his father, and the youngest being Chinook-kit, named by his mother.
The two kits were a rambunctious pair, stuck to each other like glue and ran around like energy was no object. They were the kind of kits any clan would like to have. Eager to learn, ready to serve, and mostly unafraid. When they became apprentices, they couldn't stick around each other as much as they went out into the territory more and more. Chinookpaw became more protective of his sister because of this, staying close to her but holding her back more than going along with her schemes. Cardinalpaw stayed playful as ever, while Chinookpaw's spark died out a little. He'd tag along, but he'd focus on her well being more than the adventure itself.
A few moons into their apprenticeship, they made friends with a new apprentice, Minnowpaw. Despite being the younger sibling to Cardinalpaw and being in the middle in terms of age in the group of friends, he noticed he started to take on the role of an older sibling. He supervised more than he played along, making sure no one got hurt. Despite that, the three were still close.
Soon enough, Cardinalpaw and Chinookpaw became warriors. He was given the suffix "splash" due to his swimming skill, and started to attend to his warrior duties as if he has been a warrior his entire life. Yet, he couldn't help but want to do more. While he didn't quite know what more was, he knew he wanted more for himself and JungleClan. All the while, he found himself growing closer with his small group of friends.
