Character Background
Family:
Sunwhisker (Father)& Crestfur( Mother) Both deceased.
Sandblaze(brother)
Gullkit (Sister; stillborn.)
History:
When Dunestorm was born, he and his brother were a surprise to their parents, as they were both older cats when having a first litter. His mother, Crestfur, didn't think she would be able to have kits, but was overjoyed when she and Sunwhisker were overjoyed. However they were both concerned, and soon it was clear as to why. It wasn't an easy birth, and Crestfur became very ill and had complications. Dunestorm's littermate, his only sister, was born stillborn.
Despite the birth of two healthy sons, Crestfur was focused on Gullkit's death, and although Sunwhisker attempted to comfort her, Crestfur fell into a deep depression. She started putting the blame on the remaining kits, and her relationship with the rest of her family became strained.
Sunwhisker had began to take on the task of raising Dunestorm and Sandblaze throughout their kithood and apprientincehood. No one really knew why Crestfur died. Sunwhisker had been the one to break the news to the brothers , as the she-cat passed away in her sleep. Dunestorm grieved along with his brother and father, but he was struck with sadness, and as much as his mother didn't like the two of them, he still loved her through her passing.
However, Dunestorm soon found comfort in his brother and father, and he realized that there was more to life as he still had remaining family. Dunestorm was earned the suffix -storm, for the enthusiasm. When Sunwhisker passed away, the brothers grew even closer, and will look after each other always.
