He’s very clever, and can often figure out solutions to problems fast, and excels at strategy, even if his practice isn’t quite as good. Character Background
Family: Bright Snow(Father), Petal Breeze(Mother)
History: Dappled Rock was the only tom, and only kit born healthy in his litter. His other two siblings came out stillborn, and while his mother and father attempted to raise him well, he could still sense something was off. Dappled Rock hadn’t known about his siblings until he was well into his kithood, but he could always sense that something was missing. Due to his large size, and bright patches of orange, that would be useless for hunting, he had been deemed a knight , and thus he began his training. He always threw himself into training with all of his energy, and hadn’t attempted to be put the wayside compared to the other apprentices. He wanted to fight tooth and nail to at least be recognized as strong, and so , he did.

Dunestorm looked up at Applebelly, too busy in his thoughts to have seen her return home with no catch. “Sure ! “ he mewed, scooting over to make some room. He didn’t interact with the dappled she-cat much, as he was many moons her senior. He thought for a moment, trying to think of some idle conversation, as he hadn’t seen much happen around the camp. He knew about the inside politics within the clan but didn’t think that would be an appropriate start to the conversation, and he didn’t really care much anyways. “How have you been?” He decided to start, trying to sound friendly,and not as old as he was. He knew that Applebelly had had some family drama, but hasn’t every cat had their own issues. Dunestorm didn’t see any reason to turn down anyone who ever wanted to talk, and thus was approached alot by younger cats,by just how young he acted.[break][break] Dunestorm genuinely wanted to be a friend of every cat if he could, and he thought all the warriors who worked so hard could use all the breaks they could get. No one’s life should be all work and no play , he thought. He knew that clan life could be strict sometimes, but he thought being too structured doesn’t do anyone any favors

Ratpaw felt a rush of pride as the older tabby praised her. She hadn’t really tracked Orchidbloom’s scent, such as just went the way she knew how to get to the shipwreck, but she was still pleased she was on time. She nodded as her mentor explained what they were going to do and sniffed the air , trying her best to pick out scents. There were so many, and she quickly became overwhelmed. Not wanting to disappoint, Ratpaw tried her best to pick out the smells from one another.[break][break] Obviously, she could smell her mentor and herself , but she figured that was too obvious. She recalled her mentor telling her to use all her senses, so Ratpaw pricked her ears. “I can hear the waves,” she mewed, as she looked at the broken ship that laid a little bit around them. “I can also smell the water.” She took another beat, and tried to focus on her surroundings. “I can smell some prey,” she said, hesitentaily, not sure if what she was actually smelling was prey, or if it had been something else in the amalgamation of smells, but she was proud of trying, at least. “And i can see the ship,” she said as she looked around. She knew that one was obvious but, better to over do it in her mind.

Ivorysplash turned in surprise as she heard a familiar voice cry out. She sighed, as any prey she would’ve found would definitely be gone by now , with the combination of her stumbling and her brother’s voice. She wasn’t all sure what he wanted. She thought maybe the deputy had been leading a patrol, but when she looked past him for a patrol, she didn’t see one.[break][break] She didn’t see a reason to be outright rude to him, as Ivorysplash was sure Sharksong wouldn’t have gone out here if he didn’t want to,and after all,it wasn’t like him to come looking for her. She was struck with a brief moment of worry, as if something had happened to Shellheart, but surely he’d have more urgency if anything did happen to either of their parents, no matter how distant they were now, kin was still kin. She waved her tail to acknowledge him, and after an awkward beat, said “Congrats on being deputy.” She had known that he would’ve done well on the trails,after all he was a very strong cat. The grey she cat shuffled her paws, her mouse laid forgotten on the floor, as she had dropped in when she stumbled. She realized then, how measly of a catch it was, and flattened her ears in embarrassment.

Coconuttuft had not been expecting this hunt to turn into a chat session, but he was more than okay with it. He had always enjoyed listening to other cats , even if it had nothing to do with himself or the matter at hand. It seemed like the other fighter had gotten a bit over her shyness, or at least that’s what Coconuttuft thought it was. He wasn’t really sure.[break][break] Or at least that’s what he thought until the other she-cat stiffened up, and nodded at his question, which really wasn’t an answer. Coconuttuft was never one to press though, and he proved right in that decision , as the she-cat soon answered.Coconuttuft had seen Bleakpaw in passing, and thought that the apprentice was alright, if not a bit offstandish. Seeing as Coconuttuft had only one apprentice in his warriorhood, he wasn’t sure if his advice would be any good, but Littleshark wasn't that hard of an apprentice in her own right. He had been glad that he had been able to teach her things other than the skills she was already so adept at, but it had been so late in her training, that Coconuttuft didn’t see how he could be helpful practically in helping Taropetal . Not wanting to disappoint the she-cat, he decided to ask, “What’s Bleakpaw like ?” After all, maybe her describing it out loud would help her figure it out.
Ivorysplash had been out hunting, trying to put her stealth to use. Being smaller did come with benefits, as she had learned during her apprenticeship, She knew not to be bothered by her stature anymore, but it was still hard to close old wounds. She knew that her brother had survived the trial to deputy, and while she was still a bit jealous, deputy had never been a goal of hers, she’d much rather support the clan than lead it. She knew that he must’ve worked hard in the trail, and she wished she had been there at the announcement.[break][break] Shellheart had taken her out, on a hunting patrol during the announcement,as she was probably concerned about what Ivorysplash would feel. Ivorysplash didn’t need any coddling anymore, although her mother refused to see that. She hadn’t needed it since was a paw, and her feelings were much less delicate. She had caught a mouse in the company of the slight forest that was on their territory. It had certainly been a lot cooler under the shade of the trees.[break][break] She was too lost in her thoughts, that she hadn’t noticed a stray tree root sticking out, and she had stumbled over it in a clumsy manner. She let out an undignified hiss, cursing the tree root in her head. At least no one had been around to see her.

Ratpaw was excited for training, as her mentor had said they would start in the morning. So she woke up, being careful not to disturb those who were still sleeping. She knew from Orchidbloom that it would be hot outside, so early morning was the best time. She didn’t enjoy waking up early, but she knew that she did that she had to.[break][break] She wasn’t running to the location, but was a bit surprised that her mentor didn’t even wait for her. She dismissed the thought, shaking her fur out. She wasn’t a kit anymore,she could find her way to the Shipwreck cove. She was a bit nervous in approaching the shipwreck, as she’d never been inside it before. She recalled that there had been a rat attack recently, and was about to lose herself in her anxious thoughts, when she spotted the silver pelt of her mentor. Ratpaw approached, mewing a hello, a bit nervous as to what training they were going to do. She knew that Orchidbloom was a strict cat, and she appreciated that, because Ratpaw didn’t need anyone to coddle her. She was prepared to give it her all, and waited to learn more.

Dunestorm had been lazing around the camp, basking in the warm sun of the soothing skies season. He hadn’t been asked to do anything around the camp, so he decided that it was an as good time to laze around. The weather was nice enough, and it was so rare that he actually got the time to relax, so he was taking advantage. He knew he probably looked a bit silly, as he had rolled over on the ground a couple of times, just to change up his boredom.[break][break] He quickly remembered his age, and sat up, with his tail curled neatly around his paws. He began to clean the dust and sand from his pelt, having the decency to act at least a little embarrassed. He mind filled with thoughts of the current tensions with the clan. Dunestorm wasn’t one much for politics, and to be honest, he couldn’t care less about them, as long as the leader believed they were acting in the right direction. He wasn’t one for all the uptight , traditionalism of the old ways. He thought that new directions were exciting,and he would definitely be the first cat to sign up on any expedition that Tinystar called for.[break][break] He had been relatively happy with the way things had been going. Everyone’s belly was full, so they had the gods to thank for that. His brother was doing well too, or at least Dunestorm thought he was.
[attr="class","sexyon"] NOTES HERE, I THINK YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH GO AS CRAZY AS YOU WANT WITH THESE
[attr="class","makeup"]
Coconuttuft had began following the she-cat and took her long silence as mere concentration, and watched her movements carefully, making sure to note what the younger cat did so he could fare better in his own hunts, and in turn, hopefully could manage to get prey more on his own. He felt a bit like an apprentice in that aspect, but learning from others wasn’t really something he was ashamed of. He enjoyed learning, even if he wasn’t great at that specific skill. He wasn’t going to mimic her, in fear of looking stupid, but he did watch intently. He didn’t really have any thoughts about Tinystar’s leader skills, and he supported her in her new ideas. Although he would be far too fearful to ever pursue a dream of what lies behind the jungle and leaving the relatively safe comfort of his clan , he would be loyal to the clan leader within reason , of course. He knew some of his clanmates didn’t agree with her views but he wasn’t a stranger to politics, if even he stayed out of them most of the time. He wasn’t a fool, and could pick up on alot of unhappiness within the clan, and he was a bit nervous , as he was afraid of another in-clan fight, somehow ending in the worst way possible. His attention was brought to when Taropetal spoke after her break of silence.”How’ve you been?” the she-cat asked. “I’ve been pretty alright, and you?” Coconuttuft wasn’t that much of a conversationalist, but he didn’t want to come off as callous and cold to any of his clanmates. He hoped the she-cat wasn’t annoyed, as he didn’t really know her all that well, and she might have had more things to do than hunt with him, however Coconuttuft figured she would not have offered if she really didn’t want to.
Coconuttuft flicked his ears as he heard Taropetal meow. He perked up at the invitation to go hunting , and catching lizards seemed pretty impressive to him. The prey may be small, but they sure were fast,or at least faster than him. The tom silently agreed with Taropetal, as he did tend to have better times hunting with other cats, but due to his lack of skill, he didn’t really like embarrassing himself, especially as a senior fighter. However Taropetal didn't seem like the one to make fun.[break][break] Not many in cats in the clan talked with him, his large presence and seniority seemingly intimidating to others, but Coconuttuft thought he was nice enough.He was probably nicer than he should be, letting some cats get away with some tricks here and there, as he enjoyed a good bit of fun as long as all the work was done. He could see the younger she-cat a good heart, or at least he thought she did. After all, why would she still be here, especially after seeing his blunder. He tilted his head as the she-cat admitted their loud presence. “ I would like that,” the tom said, scanning the grassy area. He wasn’t all too sure how farter out, farther out was, but he decided to let the she-cat lead, as she was obviously much better than he was. Coconuttuft didn’t really mind his lack of skill in hunting and fighting, as he was much rather a peacemaker more than anything, avoiding conflict if at all possible. He would try to mimic the she-cats movements, and see if just having another presence there to model his technique off of would help.
