Cascade of Roaring Water
Tribe of Twisted Roots ∙ Navigator ∙ she-cat ∙ 48 moons
Appearance
Description sentence:
A lithe, somewhat muscular calico cat with a white chest and striking yellow eyes.
Appearance:
Cascade is a naturally thin cat, unlike her brother. Like her brother, however, she has built muscle in her shoulders and legs, giving her a powerful frame. Her pelt has taken after her mother the most, with orange mixing into black. Her body is mainly covered with this nice mixture of black and orange, with the orange being an undertone to her black. In sunlight, it appears that some of her black fur shows up orange. The only points of white on her body is on her chest and a single patch across her muzzle. Her vivid yellow eyes sit in the middle of black and orange fur, an attracting point for many who speak with her.
Personality
Positive Traits: • Amiable • Confident • Hard-Working | Negative Traits: • Forceful • Perfectionist • Sarcastic |
Personality:
Cascade was not born as vibrant, temperamental, and assertive as her brother was. She was always the more mellow type of the two. However, don't mistake her soft, calm words for her being the 'weaker' of the two. She merely takes a different path to greatness.
While her passion isn't as much of a focus of her personality, Cascade definitely is focused. She knows about her strengths, and she uses them to great advantage. She likes to make friends, and her confident and calm nature helps combine into a friend to lean on... especially considering how much effort she puts into hunting and exploring the island they live on.
However, her confidence comes with a weakness, and sometimes, her friendly exterior gives way to a sarcastic tongue. She is not known to hold back any comments she has on anyone, family, friend, or stranger. If she dislikes you, she makes it known... it just isn't easy to have her dislike someone. Her confident and amicable exterior hides a perfectionist interior- if she isn't the one doing something, there is a worry buried in her heart that it wont be right. Even if she is doing something, she will work tirelessly at it until it is perfect- and it seems that nothing ever will be. Even with herself- her brother is the Commander, and while she is a capable Navigator, she will always worry she won't be enough.
She hides this under her friendly nature and sarcastic quips, and is confident in all other areas when she removes comparisons from the picture, so that, she at least knows.

Character Background
Family:
Hummingbird Flitting Through Raindrops (Mother, Navigator), Cloud Crossing the Moon (Father, Deceased), Tempest Rages At Night (Brother, Commander, played by Rosa )
History:
Cascade and Tempest were born as the latest in a line of great Tribe cats- their line had a gathering of high roles in their past, with many great Commanders, Quartermasters, and even Witches scattered in their bloodline. This left great expectations on their shoulders, expectations that Tempest took to very well. Even as a Tenderfoot, Tempest would love to listen in to guides about their pasts and listen to whispers about what greatness could await the two newest in a great bloodline. For Cascade, she took a minimal interest in the stories, wanting to be herself and still be a great navigator, just like her brother.
When made a Swabbie, Cascade's smaller shape and dappled pelt were a great asset to her. Her Navigator Mentor taught her how to combine her stealth and natural strength, turning her into a cat meant for ambush attacks, which she used well to her advantage whenever she would be dragged into one of Tempest's stupid little play fighting games. She wouldn't mind, though. He was her brother, even if a silly, big-headed one. She had her own friends, though, and she would rather spend time chatting with them then fighting when she did not need to.
This led to her mother confronting her about her seeming laziness- Tempest was out there, fighting and hunting and always working, while Cascade would always sit at home. Cascade was a hard worker in her own right, just not one that went out of her way to work, and this led to an argument that fractured the relationship the two had- to this day, their relationship is tense, and Cascade gained perfectionist tendencies from an inner desire to at least get her mother to recognize she did have a passion, just not the same as Tempest.
But that was not important. As Cascade successfully passed her night on the Island of Shadows, she and her brother became Navigators, great to the clan in various ways. She would always tease him for various things, most of all his attitude. As he became Quartermaster, then Commander, she never doubted his leadership. He always was the most... ah... religious of the two. She believed in the gods, but not in the way that Tempest did.
Commander he may be now, but he is always her impulsive brother.
