Extended History
Four cats embarked on a quest - from ThunderClan came the warrior Stormpath and from RiverClan were the siblings Owlpaw and medicine cat apprentice Cottonpaw. The final member was a loner named Marigold, who had closer than usual ties with Stormpath. Their quest - you ask? To find new fertile lands to live from, as prey grew scarcer and scarcer in the Clan territory. However, this quest took a turn for the worse when they ended up aboard a fishing ship that would later crash onto the Islands.
Upon landing on the Islands, they immediately took shelter within the trees offered by the Jungle. It wasn't long before they found the kittypets that were dwelling on the beaches opposite of their crash. In good faith, the Clan cats offered to train the kittypets in the ways of a warrior in exchange for shelter. Although for a short period of time they stayed loosely together as a group, this pairing did not last long. With different views on how things should be handled, the two groups go their separate ways. The Clan cats, along with a few of the kittypets who shared their ideals, took to the Jungle to make their home.
What they weren't expecting in the shelter of the dense trees was a striped predator that found a true love for the quick meals the warriors of JungleClan made. Although they tried to set up camp several times, each time they finally settled in an area, the camp would be quickly found and raided by the larger predator seeking an easy meal. For a time, the JungleClan cats lived on the beach shores, where they could easily see any incoming predators - yet this did not work well either as the stormy season came. Spurred on by their strong hearts and determination, they instead climbed the mountain in the center of their territory, seeking high ground in the likelihood of flooding. There, they found a cave lit with glow worms that offered a small enough opening that the vicious tiger could hunt them no longer.
During the hurricane that rocked the island in the following days, the clan cats were safe within the glowing cave. Yet, on the first night of the storm, the medicine cat Frogwhisker was visited by the Island Gods: the Star God, the Moon God, and the Sun God. They informed the medicine cat that the terror that plagued them had fallen, and they could take the tiger's den for their own. The cats of StarClan also greeted Frogwhisker, asking him to visit them by using this very cave and eating one of the many glow worms that call it home.
In the morning, the storm had cleared, and what the Island Gods had said was true - the tiger was dead, it's body half-hidden under a pile of rocks that had fallen in the storm. The Clan cats decided to claim it for their home, stripping the tiger of its nutrients and utilizing its cave for their new medicine cat den. In the moons that followed, many leaders rose and fell, with little to note about each of their reigns. Mangostar's reign was marked by a steady increase in the need to explore further within their territory and beyond their own beaches. However, after several failed attempts and one death, the Clan decided to keep to their own lands instead. This decision was marked by the volcano they could see in the distance exploding, causing the cats to believe that adventuring further would only bring death.
Mosquitostar's reign was mostly uneventful - however, the Clan prospered under her reign and grew considerably in size. Under her tutelage, was the young Toucansong. Taking care to pay close attention to how successful Mosquitostar was in her years as leader, Toucanstar now hopes to continue these prosperous years.
