The Kingdom of Mokuhau's roots stem from the same tree as JungleClan. Back when the ancestors of the first clans arrived on the island and met TidalClan, the original founder of the Kingdom did not wish to join them as their counterparts did. Instead, this cat traveled north, through jungle and plains and snow while gathering like-minded loners along the way, until they came to the place they would call their own. With the support of their new followers, this cat soon became the first crown ruler of the Kingdom of Mokuhau. 

Due to the harsh nature of their environment, the cats of the Kingdom have adapted in different ways from the rest of the island cats. Many of these members boast long-furred coats and muscular builds, with large feet and powerful back legs for climbing and leaping through rock and snow. Typically these cats have lighter-colored fur as well, many with patterns to better blend in with the snow and ice. 

Their beginnings and general clan structure have created a curious sort of group in mannerisms. Unlike the other groups who call the island home, a cat's fate is decided early on in life. Unless one is born into the royal family, they will be designated either for hunting or battle, depending purely on first appearances and the beginning moons. Thus, they are used to a rigid sort of schedule and structured way of life, and often look down upon those who do not follow their thoughts and traditions. Believing themselves better simply by birth, the Kingdom is not one to engage with strangers, seeing no need to learn what they consider "primitive practices". 

The final divide between the Kingdom and the rest of the cats is religion. Or, perhaps, a lack thereof. As the Kingdom looks to their royal family for guidance in all things, faith in StarClan and the Island Gods has long faded from memory. As a result, their crown ruler is only given their one life, though just as much ceremony occurs for this passage of power as it does elsewhere on the islands.

The naming conventions of the Kingdom of Mokuhau has roots in those of the traditional clans. However, time and twisted tales have distorted the original traditions - while similar to that of a warrior, a member of the Kingdom carries a two-part name drawn from nature. You must use no more than two words. Some examples could be: Hawk Wing or Hawk’s Wing, Dappled Sunlight, Billowing Breeze, Glimmering Amethyst, etc.
