TidalClan Chief's Decree
Tinystar played by Artemis
Belief Level: Tinystar may be a bit of a trailblazer in comparison to many older TidalClan cats - however, she has a high belief level in both the Gods and Ancestors.
Relation with Gods: Tinystar believes the Gods are real and still mandates offerings to them. She holds a fearful awe of them, but isn't willing to live in their shadows like her predecessor. Tinystar believes that they can live in harmony with the Gods, and while she thinks that weather is most likely controlled by their favour; she believes that individuals have a say in their lives and their own destinies. It would be frowned upon if you practised atheism in TidalClan under her command.
Relation with Ancestors: Tinystar is in agreeance with much of what her ancestors before her believes. She believes in the Gods of Soothing Skies, Scorching Sands and Shrieking Storms. She also believes in what they are capable of. Where Tinystar differs is the belief that TidalClan should never leave their home because it is all they know. She respects that fear, but is hoping to overcome it and push forward and explore new lands to better the clan. That is probably her biggest difference to the ancestors.
General Observation of Morals/Tenants: Above all, duty to the clan comes before anything else under Tinystar's command. You must first feed those of the clan who can not feed themselves and give offerings to the Gods before feeding yourself - this is law and punishable if broken. Forbidden romances are looked down upon, you should have no wish to look for romance outside of your own clan - it is dishonourable, however, should a forbidden romance be discovered Tinystar would not react too harshly. If a litter of kits were to happen through a forbidden romance, Tinystar would fight for them as they are from her clan and her clan comes first before prejudice. The borders are mostly respected by Tinystar but it is more because of fear of the unknown rather than fear of trespassing. Tinystar wants to push past the borders and explore unclaimed territory at a pace reasonable to her clan as long as it poses no imminent danger or angers the Gods. Trespassers will always be heard out and are met with a fair trial, regardless of the circumstances. Should a trespasser be found to be doing harm to the clan or those within it, the penalty will be severe. Life is sacred to TidalClan - it is looked down upon to kill another without justifiable reason such as an immediate threat to your own life. If she were to discover one of her own killed without good cause, she may go as far as exiling or even sentencing that cat to death. The young, defenceless and elders are all sacred in her clan - those who have yet to serve or have already served the clan are to be protected and cared for first, no exceptions.
Relation with Other Groups: At the moment, Tinystar has no reason to be hostile towards JungleClan. They separated on relatively good terms in a mutual understanding that their differences were too great to continue together. She does harbour some bitterness that some of her own would have left to join them. Tinystar and TidalClan are completely unaware that the Tribe even exists as they have never travelled past their own borders on the main island.
Extra info: Tinystar is a leader who has a firm yet fair style of ruling as Chief. All opinions are important to her, and she will listen to her clan if they bring her suggestions or issues. She tries to do things for the greater good but does understand that sometimes a decision must be made, right or wrong, and consequences must be handled accordingly. Tinystar may not always make the right decisions, but she promises to learn from her mistakes and grow as a leader. Her wishes for leadership are to push into new territory and grow TidalClan to the strongest clan. She is ambitious but is wise enough not to throw all caution to the wind. She will not make any moves that may jeopardize herself or the clan for gain. She acts with a sense of justice and is happy to punish those who break the rules that are laid out after a fair trial to prove guilt.
TidalClan Deputy's Views
Sharksong played by nifty
Belief Level: Tentatively high. He believes more out a sense of fear from retribution than actual genuine faith.
Relation with Gods: Tumultuous. He doesn't understand them and he is secretly afraid to. He questions their rituals and the way TidalClan seems to follow them without question. He doesn't want to bend from tradition, but he certainly has wondered about their actual existence multiple times before.
Relation with Ancestors: Sharksong doesn't give much thought to his ancestors. If someone is gone, they are gone--he doesn't stop to question that they might be watching from above. He has a tendency to focus on the present and the future, and thus he rarely takes the time to consider those in the past.
General Observation of Morals/Tenants: Lenient yet aggressive. Sharksong won't be high-pressed to discipline rulebreakers, and he is relaxed when it comes to the rules themselves. However, if he himself is challenged--from a clanmate or another clan--he won't hesitate in putting them in their place, even with the slightest infractions.
Relation with Other Groups: Cautiously accepting. While he understands why borders and the need to defend them exist, he isn't one to naturally dislike someone just because they originate from somewhere else. As long as other groups don't cause problems with him, he can respect that they exist.
Extra info: Sharksong's demeanor might make it seem like he shouldn't have any power. He acts certain enough that it might be hard to approach him with different ideas. He is cocky enough to act impulsively as well. However, with enough persistence it is possible to get him to reconsider his stance or come to terms with any errors he may have made.
TidalClan Healer's Views
Turtlehop played by Atari
Belief Level: Very high.
Relation with Gods: Fearful awe. She has a deep respect for the Gods that borders on fear at times.
Relation with Ancestors: Respectful, but less so than the Gods. She believes them to have good advice, but their word is not law. They are only cats who may have other useful perspectives, but being dead does not make you suddenly know all truths.
General Observation of Morals/Tenants: Cares more deeply for her own clan than outsiders. Turtlehop puts priority on those under her own care. If it would come down to her saving a clanmate or a stranger, she would not hesitate to choose the former. She believes the best practice for her clan and herself to keep their heads down and stick close to home.
Relation with Other Groups: Wary of Jungleclan, horrified they don't have such strong beliefs in the Gods. Distrustful of the Tribe, but intrigued by their similar religions. Unaware of the Kingdom.
Extra info: Turtlehop is an older figure, and feels the need to be a guiding force for her younger high ranking counterparts - however, her own insecurities make her somewhat more inclined to want to stay out of things. She also struggles to accept other clans' healers as being as knowledgeable as herself, and often will look down upon them as not knowing as much, or lacking compassion, or experience.
