Cedarfang
Jungleclan ∙ Warrior ∙ She-cat ∙ 30 Moons
Appearance
Description sentence:
A short-furred light brown tabby with black stripes, a white chest, and green eyes.
Appearance:
Cedarfang's natural short fur makes her broad shoulders and general muscled shape easy to see upon a first glance. Her dark green eyes are the color of the leaves on their trees. They are shaped slightly slanted, resulting in her having a natural face that makes her look like she would fight you if you even think anything wrong while around her. The base color of her coat is a light brown, the color of which gave her the name Cedarkit in her youth, while the darker brown fur that crowds around her black tabby stripes came later in her growth. Her tabby stripes help lend her face the appearance of someone who takes no crap.
Personality
Positive Traits: • Confident • Dutiful • Responsible | Negative Traits: • Arrogant • Stubborn • Mean |
Personality:
Cedarfang is good at what she does, and she knows it. She walks around with her head held high, and speaks with no stutters or even implying that she has a shred of doubt. Unfortunately, this leads with it a bit of arrogance. She will push people out of the way and make sure that she gets what needs to be done, done. She knows her responsibilities, and she knows them very, very well. If she didn't, she would work herself to the bone until she does know.
While this is handy for a cat like her, she is entirely focused onto it. If someone gets in her way, she will insult them until they get out of it, and will not feel bad if they get sad about it. If someone tells her to stop, she will continue working, just to prove that no, there's no need to worry, Ivystar, I can do this and I don't need sleep! As a Jungleclan cat, she is loyal, and does what she can for the clan's name... but her treatment of her clanmates could be better.

Character Background
Family:
Lightstep (Father, alive, NPC)
Barktooth (Mother, dead)
Aspenheart (Sister, alive, adoptable)
Birchcloud (Sister, alive, adoptable)
History:
Cedarfang began life as most other kits were- to a loving mother and father, and with other kits sharing her bedspace. Her parents were an unusual couple, but they were still lovely together- a caring father who loved to nuzzle his kits, and a mother whose usual aggressive tooth seemed to quiet down a bit for her three kits.
As Cedarkit grew alongside her two siblings, Aspenkit and Birchkit, it was clear that Cedarkit was the most outgoing of the trio. While Aspenkit and Birchkit spent their days tumbling a piece of moss between them, Cedarkit was the one to pounce on the mossball and declare that they were going to play Leader, and the other two were going to be her Deputy and Medicine Cat. Cedarkit took after Barktooth the most, while her sisters took after their father.
That was fine with Cedarkit. More time with her mother for her! Her mother would talk about her duty for the clan, how vital it was to be strong in order to protect it, how vital it was to never show weakness to the outside, all while Lightstep was with her two sisters talking about things Cedarkit really didn't take interest in.
The day Cedarkit, Aspenkit, and Birchkit became Cedarpaw, Aspenpaw, and Birchpaw, was the day that Cedarpaw noticed something was off about her mother. Barktooth would cough at times, start to stray away from all of her clanmates, and only half indulge Cedarpaw whenever the apprentice got away from her mentor long enough to visit.
Cedarpaw thought she would get better, and continued to be taught underneath her mentor, who focused heavily on fighting and on taking no crap. Aspenpaw and Birchpaw were a bit more worried once Cedarpaw brought it up to them, but Cedarpaw brushed it off. Nothing could happen to their mother- their confident, sassy mother that Cedarpaw got so close to in her youth.
Then Barktooth died of greencough.
Cedarpaw's separation from her family became even clearer when Cedarpaw saw her siblings mourn with her father, and her natural reaction of 'shut down the emotion' was a stark contrast to the 'cry it out' with the rest of her family. She threw herself into her training, into her dedication for the clan, while, to her, it seemed that Aspenpaw and Birchpaw only got softer. Fine. They can be soft. She can be a perfect warrior.
This translated to when they got their warrior names- only Cedarpaw got a name that took after her mother's, while her sisters both got names that were as light as their father. When Cedarfang was approached by Lightstep after the ceremony, she rejected his outreached paw and turned away, breaking more apart from her family than before.
She sort of misses Aspenheart and Birchcloud, deep down. But they are soft, and she is not. She can remain confident and hard working the way she is, she has no time to consider their views.
And so it continues to this day: a confident, mean fighter of a warrior in the middle of a quiet, kind hunter family.
