A GUIDE TO EARN SHELLS

Want to learn more about the bank? What about how shells are earned? All of that will be answered here! Chasing Dusk uses a monetary system plugin to award members a virtual currency called "shells" for posting and doing various things around the site. This system gives us a few options and allows us to have a wallet, a bank and a shop.

→ To view your wallet you just need to go into your profile

→ Whenever you make a post, the shells you get is automatically placed in your wallet

→ You do NOT make interest on wallet amounts

→ Your bank account can be viewed by clicking the little piggy bank icon in the bottom
left corner of your browser screen (it's in a little tool bar with some icons)

→ Click here to see what your bank account looks like and how to navigate it

→ You make 3% each day that you make a post in interest on the amount in the bank

→ Deposit money from your wallet to your bank to save up and gain more interest

→ Click here to view the shop

→ You may only purchase from the shop with the funds in your wallet

→ Things will go on sale from time to time

General Shell Rewards
→ You will receive 80 shells per every new in-character post and 30 for every IC reply
→ You will receive 20 shells per every new out of character post and 10 for every ooc reply
→ You will receive 100 shells for every new character created in the creation board
→ You will receive 200 shells for every new introduction thread posted in the introductions board, and 100 shells for every response (get to know your fellow rpers for a bonus!)

Shell Milestone Rewards
For each milestone you reach you will earn shells
→ 10 posts will get you 100 shells
→ 20 posts will get you 200 shells
→ 30 posts will get you 300 shells
→ 40 posts will get you 400 shells
→ 50 posts will get you 500 shells
→ 100 posts will get you 1000 shells
→ 200 posts will get you 2000 shells
→ 300 posts will get you 3000 shells
→ 400 posts will get you 4000 shells
→ 500 posts will get you 5000 shells

Rank Up Bonuses
Every "rank up" earns you 500 shells
→ You will become an "Matey" from a "Landlubber" when you reach 100 posts on the site
→ You will become a "Boatswain" when you reach 250 posts on the site
→ You will become a "First Mate" when you reach 500 posts on the site
→ You will become an "Captain" when you reach 1000 posts on the site

Monthly Bonuses
→ You will receive 10% shells based on your post total per month as an extra bonus
→ Staff receives an additional monthly bonus as a thank you for working hard
