Iguanagaze
Jungleclan ∙ Warrior ∙ Tom ∙ 46 moons
Appearance
Description sentence:
A sleek, grey tabby tom with striking, green eyes.
Appearance:
A tom that sets himself apart from being the bold and brooding type, Iguanagaze is a slim warrior that stands taller than most of his clanmates. His sleek appearance makes him appear weak, however, much like the great Windclan ancestors, he finds all of his advantages with this form. Underneath his striped pelt, muscle pushes him through the jungle and various water structures around the island with ease. Since he isn't the largest tom, Iguanagaze sticks to the trees and to the water, much like his prefix. A handsome tom, Iguanagaze grooms daily and dedicatedly. His coat protects him in the dense jungle, having the darker shades of his stripes to blend him into the shadows. But in the daylight, or moonlight, his lighter coat gleams a fine silver. He has tuffs of white on his nose and his underbelly. Iguanagaze also has identifiable green eyes. When he was a kit, they gleamed a brilliant green, much like the iguanas he chased around. As he's aged, his eyes have since lost their brightness and are more of a moss color.
Personality
Positive Traits: • Quick-witted • Attentive • Extroverted | Negative Traits: • Ill-tempered • Easily manipulated • Arrogant |
Personality:
Quick-witted: Iguanagaze's cool, green stare isn't just for looks. He uses his brain to the fullest by observing, calculating, and making mental note of those around him. Being quick on his paws, he's able to take in situations and find outcomes for them with ease. Being adaptable is something he prides himself on, and being able to make the most out of any situation. When living in a dangerous place like the jungle, it's either eat or be eaten.
Attentive: Going hand-in-hand with his quick wit, Iguanagaze's mind pays close attention to detail. When it comes to opponents, once he sees certain moves or signs, he can use that against them. When it comes to tracking prey, he knows the forest extremely well. He also knows certain things to look for when hunting certain prey. The only downside to growing close to Iguanagaze is that once he knows something, he cannot easily forget it. So make the first impression a good one.
Extroverted: No one likes a cranky loner, and for Iguanagaze, there's nothing he enjoys more than a good friend. Or basically anyone who will sit and listen to him. He isn't particularly biased, he will befriend kits and elders alike. He's always ready to give a helping hand. The tom is very excitable if asked to accompany someone or to know his presence is appreciated. He also doesn't mind being in the spot light.
Ill-tempered: While friendly most of the time, getting under his fur is not something taken lightly. Using his attentive nature, he will use anything he knows about whomever he is upset with against them. Iguanagaze has a sharp tongue and will hold grudges to those who've wronged him.
Easily manipulated: Iguanagaze is a very pack-minded tom. He does not like to be the outlier when it comes to opinions so he will often go with the flow. He also can be manipulated when it comes to friendliness or if favors are done for him. His loyalties can often be swayed, unless it comes to his kin. There, he draws the line.
Arrogant: While not the best at close combat, Iguanagaze decided to become skilled at other, more unique skills. He is very confident when it comes to his intelligence, almost as if he knows more than Starclan. If he doesn't know something, it wouldn't be put past him to make up a complete lie and mask it with false-confidence.

Character Background
Family:
Parents: Beetleclaw and Sweetpetal
Mate: Ivytide
Kin: Laurelpaw (daughter), Kitepaw (daughter), Heronpaw (daughter)
History:
kithood
Iguanakit was born to Beetleclaw and Sweetpetal, senior warriors approaching retirement. A miracle in itself, Sweetpetal managed to carry 2 kits to term. Iguanakit and Geckokit. Both strong males, a little on the thin side, but resilient none-the-less. His parents were nothing but amazing. A loving family gave him the confidence to wonder out of the nursery at a young age and cause mischief with brother in tow. The only difference between the brothers, besides their fraternal looks, was Iguanakit's limbs just kept growing and growing. Besides being thin, he stood at eye level with most of the apprentices by his third moon.
apprenticehood
Apprenticeship was possibly one of the most exciting moments in Iguanapaw's life. He excelled in hunting and territory patrols, the only thing that he hated was close combat. Time after time, he was tossed to the jungle floor by his peers. While he stood mouse-lengths above them, their pure strength knocked his lanky adolescent-self around like a limp vine. His mentor continued to train him, making him use his height to his advantage and using his surroundings to sneak and trick his opponents. Things were beginning to look up till a certain she-cat came along.
Ivypaw's and Iguanapaw's relationship with one another was a tough one. By spending less than 5 minutes within the same training grounds, they were already at each other's throats. Teasing, trickery, and sabotage consumed Iguanapaw's training, hindering his performance in front of his elders. Eventually, their mentors forced them to work together no matter how much he complained. Eventually, the young tom grew to look forward to the patrols and hunting groups, even though he'd never admit it. He was older than her, and he knew he would have to wait for her. He questioned if his feelings were true, or if her immaturity would hold his future ideas back. But as their friendship continued to grow, and the sight of her made Iguanapaw's belly fill with butterflies, the tom knew deep down he'd wait for her.
warrior days
But as much as he had hoped he could wait, when he became a full-fledged warrior, his new responsibilities took away his time from Ivypaw. The tom remained hesitant to wait for Ivypaw, but tried his hardest to get her on patrols and hunting expeditions with him so he could spend what little time they had, together. Once she became a warrior a few moons later, Iguanagaze wanted to move forward and create a family. He already excelled as a warrior, all he wanted was a mate to make the jungle a home, and a few kits to continue his legacy. He loved Ivypaw though, and reluctantly waited until she was a fellow warrior.
Shortly after she received the name Ivytide, it was a relief to Iguanagaze to finally have the she-cat he fell in love with by his side. But moon after moon she refused to seal their courtship. So Iguanagaze, out of frustration, plotted to convince Ivytide he was worthy to be her mate. Although he never meant to hurt her, he realized as their relationship grew, his choices during this time were not the most thought out. But never the less, he flirted and even tried to court another she-cat in the clan right in front of Ivytide. Eventually, Ivytide pulled the two aside and Iguanagaze ended his advancements towards the other she-cat, and tried to repair his relationship with Ivytide. She became his mate, but it wasn't till moons later until she was pregnant.
After giving birth to his three beautiful daughters, Iguanagaze was a loving father. He taught his daughters to be strong, and to always follow their heart and their mind. Now his life mostly consists of normal warrior duties and watching his daughters prosper in the clan. Recently, his mate became Ivystar. He tries not to be too jealous, but he's certainly proud of the she-cat she's become since their apprenticeship.
