mistfeather
jungleclan ∙ warrior ∙ she-cat ∙ 36 moons
Appearance
Description sentence:
Gray tabby she-cat with light green eyes and white whiskers.
Appearance:
Mistfeather may look a bit large upon first glance, but that's only due to the fact that she has fluffier fur covering her. Her pelt itself has a tabby pattern upon it and appears to have both a mixture of light gray and dark gray in it. She has no white markings other than the tufts of her ears, her whiskers, and a touch of it on her muzzle. Her nose is a dark reddish color. Her ears seem to be a bit more on the round size instead of being pointed and her tail is unsurprisingly bushy. It's fairly clear to see that the color of her pelt and its soft looks are what contributed to her name.

Personality
Please list at least three positive and three negative traits for your character below.
Personality:
Mistfeather is a very kind soul. She always seems to greet everyone with a smile upon her face and tries her best to step in and help where she's able to. She has a firm belief in second chances - even third chances - and oftentimes she'll be one of the first ones to forgive someone should something happen. While this is a positive trait about her, it can sometimes be a negative one if she's not careful. She's not the quickest when it comes to making decisions, though. She can be rather hesitant over certain matters and worries often. Usually her concern isn't over herself, though - she tends to worry over her clanmates and while there are moments where that worry is likely appreciated, it could be considered nosiness if she budges in too much.
She's also very set in her personal beliefs and morals. While she's not one to shove them upon others - she understands that everyone has their own views - she can be rather stubborn should anyone attempt to challenge her own take on a certain issue. She's certainly not opposed to listening to what others have to include in the conversation, but changing her mindset is like shoving a heavy boulder most the time.

Character Background
Family:
Serpentfang (Father) x Palestream (Mother) - Both deceased.
History:
Mistfeather was the only daughter and kit of the young couple - Serpentfang and Palestream. She was born on a rather stormy night - which naturally put everyone on edge - but in the end, the new mother and father were blessed with little Mistkit. The two of them loved her very dearly and throughout her kithood she was spoiled by the two of them. Palestream would often fuss over her and was more on the nervous side, whereas Serpentfang would often encourage her to come along with him on small adventures outside of camp. He had more of a relaxed nature and seemed rather excited for the day where she'd become an apprentice so he'd be able to take her out further and show her Jungleclan's territory. In his enthusiasm, he seemed to often forget that she'd likely have someone else as her mentor as it's not often that family is put together, but that didn't seem to phase him in the slightest.
In spite of that fact, Mistfeather enjoyed her little outings with her father, but eventually her mother caught on to their little expeditions and scolded both her and her father and forbade her to go out until she was apprenticed. That worry didn't seem to fade even when Mistfeather did become apprenticed and it's likely the source of why Mistfeather often worries over her own clanmates. Palestream's concern was much more strong, though, and there were moments where Mistfeather would grow tired of how much she would hover over her. Serpentfang would try his best to intervene when he could - he noticed his daughter's unease and irritation, but even with his attempts, Palestream didn't ease up.
Finally, Mistfeather simply couldn't take it anymore - it was only a few days after she was given her warrior name. She'd grown used to her mother's tendency to fret, but after being slightly embarrassed by Palestream while on a patrol with other fellow warriors, she ended up snapping at her mother. It was likely the first time she'd ever became irritated enough to be angry with her, and she ended up telling Palestream then and there that she'd grown tired of her constant worrying.
I know you love me, Mother. But honestly, this needs to stop. I'm a warrior now, I don't need you to be constantly reminding me to be careful. It was fine back then, but now it's just embarrassing.
She left it at that and continued on with the patrol, not waiting for her mother's reply. Leaving things like that was something she came to regret, though. Over the course of the next few days, her mother had grown a bit quiet. Mistfeather regretted snapping at her and wanted to mend things, but she was still annoyed and decided that the silence between them was needed. Thinking back upon it, however, she wished she would have gone forward and spoken to her, because while her mother was out hunting one of the days, she was bitten by a venomous snake. She ended up passing away due to the venom spreading so quickly through her and both Mistfeather and Serpentfang were left behind to grieve over her.
Whenever she thinks back to that petty argument, she wished she wouldn't have gotten angry. Now she often misses her mother's voice kindly reminding her to be careful each time she goes out. After Palestream's death, Serpentfang grew a bit more distant than usual. He'd still come over to Mistfeather to speak with her and still seemed to care about her well-being, but there were often moments where she'd see him stare off with a sad expression and he got into the habit of going out by himself to either hunt or patrol the borders.
Only a moon after her mother's death, during one of those outings, Serpentfang also passed away. They called it a freak accident, though. None of them were very sure how it occurred, but when he didn't return back to the camp as he usually did, a search party was sent out and they ended up finding him under a large tree - dead with his neck broken. Most speculated that he had been hunting up in the tree and ended up slipping during the while, but that only seemed to puzzle things further. Her father was an excellent climber and she had doubts about him slipping - she knew that it could easily happen to anyone - especially if the tree was overly damp, but even to this day she often wonders if her father's death wasn't an accident.
